In my artistic work I am talking about being a woman. At first it was the woman alone, in her intimacy, alone with her mirror.
Then,in this project called "Between the Hair and the Stone", I broke up the cell, confronting the woman and the city.

My idea was to project my work, made of drawings, photos, movies and text, on the city; trying to get a more physical clash. It was like throwing a ball against a wall. The issue of my work is social.I wanted to contrast the individual and the society, the tension existing between them, playing with the invisible line between private space and public space.

After the first night of exhibit, my work was censured and I had to stop my projection. The owner of the building were I projected and his wife, were offended by the word "vagina" as well as some of my drawings. An argument started on the street level with some people defending the cause of my work, others contesting it.

This exhibition has been a fantastic experiment. I was very excited by the idea of showing my work in a public space, reaching the eyes of the by-passers.

It was almost an inspiration to be censored since it gave me something unique and I would now like to show it in other capitals of the world.
