HITOMI KATO Exhibition

At 7-chome, Ginza, Tokyo, there is an art gallery called Pepper's Gallery,
which has a wall that looks like ruins from older times. I made up my mind to lay out an "underground garden" in this art space. Last fall, I went to Sengokugahara. It is a grassy plain area covered all over with Susuki (Japanese pampas grass). In this region, the same scene appears every fall. From germination to death, from birth to disappearance, plants have cycles of life. I intended to make a spiritual world, using that wall of ruins, along with many objects which have the same quality. By watching my works, I would like you to feel existence and disappearance of the life, and darkness subsequent to them.

Landscape III "into the landscape"

It was the end of 19th century that the genre of <Landscape> has risen up.
One hundred years has passed since then,
The present landscape and the way of expression of it have changed on a large scale.
This program is the Project Exhibition, which approaches contemporary scenes through the crossover of the various genres, paintings, planes, solid bodies, photographs, films, installations etc., continued from Landscape III landscape ’99 4/5mon~4/24sat, Landscape II the view point of landscape 2000 4/5mon~4/24sat.
We pursuit dynamically the new forms of exhibitions blending various genres, which are associated by the Pepper’s Gallery and Pepper's Loft Gallery.

ART meets DANCE
On weekends at Pepper's Gallery,
we hold the experimental programs,
which include dance performance by the contemporary dancers, inspired by the work of Message From Body exhibition.
The key is depended on the inspiration of performers.

Once , Drawing was rough sketch of Tableau. But this action has become a special area of expression - This is one of the genre of Art in this modern virtual period.
This has become a problem of direct relationship between self and body. Direction of this art in that expressive form has a deeper meaning.
We had pepper's project 98, 99 and 2000. And the 4th exhibition,this year, will be a dynamic one which includes group exhibition and solo exhibition at the new Pepper's Gallery .

AIZU MILK

Installation of Aizu Gyunyu( Aizu Milk - is ceramics art group name) is create fun and enjoyable space.
They are using clay material which is very close to everyday life in Japan.In their installation, the viewer can touch and experience of the ceramics objects.
And also,there can feel something and some memories.
