When I look at the works created by young artists of today, I encounter the expression of paintings which seems to have been carried out by their purity or desire for purity. I wonder if that expression is their way to counter to the present day or the defense of their own spirits. Whichever it is, that encounter is a good surprise, and it always gets my heart. "Naive Art" Project Exhibition has been held in June 1999, February 2000, January, 2001 and January 2002, and this is going to be our fifth one. Curator Hiro Shiraishi
